When You Don't Know How to Pray

Maybe you feel too broken, too guilty, or too far gone for God to want to hear from you. None of that is true. Prayer is simply a conversation with a God who loves you — and He has been waiting for you to begin. Here is how to take that first step.
God is not grading your grammar. He is not waiting for a polished speech. The most powerful prayers in the Bible were desperate, messy, and honest. "God, help me" is a complete prayer. He hears the cry behind the words — even when there are none.
